Ramsbury FC U13s continued their fine form with a stunning 4-1 home win against a highly competitive Ashton Keynes U13s side.

Both teams had played out a 9-goal thriller on day one of the season with Ashton getting the better of Ramsbury 5-4. However, today saw Ramsbury up the tempo and play on the front foot to reward coaches Rich Gillard and Adam Blanchford with an impressive 4-1 home win.

Both teams showed great tenacity and commitment in very poor conditions as they were lashed by the rain throughout and the pitch started to degrade. It was testament to both teams that they stayed the course and played out a hugely entertaining match and one that was an example to all kids playing grass roots football: committed but played fairly and with great spirit! I was especially heartened to see all players shake hands at the end of the match. Awesome!

Both sets of supporters were a real credit to their clubs and were positive throughput and supported the silent weekend and just let the kids play. Great to see and well done to both teams and Adam for officiating fairly and without fuss.
