Ramsbury FC continued their fine form with another Cup win at the Ramsbury Recreation Centre against Div 1 opponents AFC Harrow.

Ramsbury made hard work of this cup match and could and should of scored more. But gaffer El Tel Seano was more than happy with his sides win and getting the match played after the torrential rain in the week. The ground was very soft and cut up, but the ref and both teams were happy to get the match played.
Sean reported that Prez had a blinder of a game and should have had a hat trick if not for some dubious line decision that the ref upheld and disallowed a third goal, but his brace and goals from Max and Briz were enough to progress.
.It was Prez that opened the scoring followed by Max with a superb dribble and powerful left foot shot shot. This was followed by Briz getting a lucky deflection when charging the ball down and like a vintage Trevor Francis circa 1978 (school together?) dropped his shoulder and sent the keeper the wrong way for an easy side foot in. Prez completed the scoring with a cracking smash of a shot from just outside the 6 yard box.
Subs were Andy for Chris, Conor for Jake and John for Jase with Rob up front and John partnering Prez in midfield.
Man of the Match was Prez for his 2 goals and all round play and Shirt of Shame shared by the defence for not defending against a throw in and thinking Xmas had come early by gifting AFC Harrow an early present to score! Calamity!!!!
Overall, a good cup match with harder games to come! No match next weekend and thereafter is a league match at home against Shield & Dagger FC.
