Ramsbury FC win pre-season friendly match against Paulton FC at the Ramsbury Rec to continue good pre-season form.

Team: Ash (GK) Mikey Chris (C) Andy Skip Aaron Rob Max Nathan Jase Subs: Ryan Rodrigo Jake Ash B Joe Luke

Ramsbury played a 3-1-4-2 formation (I think) with Ash in goal and Chris (C), Mikey G and Andy at the back with Skip in front as CDM and then Adam, Aaron, Rob and Max in the middle and out wide and Nathan and Jase up front.

Whatever the formation it obviously worked with Nathan scoring from a Jase cross to make it 1-0 and then Nathan crossing to return the favour for Jase to score and make it 2-0.

Rob scored an absolute screamer from 30 yards after a pass from Nathan to make it 3-0 and a Nathan corner out to new big money international signing Rodrigo who expertly slotted into the corner to make it 4-0 completed the scoring.

Sean made plenty of rolling subs to get players game time with Ryan on for Adam; Rodrigo on for Max; Jake on for Skip; Joe on for Mikey; Luke on for Andy and Ash B on for Nathan.

For once this match report is not a work of utter fiction as Sean provided the notes and for once I am just typing up what has been sent to me. No man of the match award as it was a friendly, but Nathan would have been a good shout with a goal and 3 assists and good to see his good form continuing from last season. Also great to see Aaron, Andy and Jake in the squad and also new players like Rodrigo and Luke and hopefully there will be a few more made before the season start.

What is apparent is that Ramsbury FC have added some new players and there is a decent squad size with a good mix of experience and youth; and its great not to see Sean on the team sheet with more games than Gareth Barry and James Milner combined!

Finally, great result against Paulton FC and here’s to a good season back in the Premiership!
